Bridges and Dentures

Missing teeth can impact your life, in the way you chew, the way you speak, even the way you look. Dentures replace natural teeth and provide support for the cheeks and lips. Full Dentures and Partial Dentures – or bridges – are a common and inexpensive way to replace natural teeth. Pearl Dentistry creates customized dentures and partials that are comfortable, affordable, and make it possible for people to feel good about their smile again.

When to use Full Dentures

Full dentures are used when most of the teeth are damaged beyond repair.

When to use a Bridge or Partial Denture

Bridges are the ideal solution to replace a section of missing teeth, restore full chewing ability and to support your lips and cheeks.

Why use Pearl Dentistry?

Poorly fitted dentures can be an expensive, painful experience. Our special training in new denture technology puts incredibly comfortable dentures within everyone’s reach. This is an area where you need to consult with a true expert about different options and then be fitted properly. We excel in this treatment.

Gum Surgery

Gum surgery is referred to as root planning and scaling. This surgery is performed when gums have either started to pull away from the teeth or the roots of the teeth have hard mineral deposits (tartar) on them. Gingivitis is a mild form of gum disease that can be usually reversed by regular brushing, flossing and cleaning. Periodontitis is a severe form of gum disease that can destroy the bones, gums and tissue that support the teeth. Pearl Dentistry is very aggressive in the treatment of Periodontal Gum disease because once bone is lost, it’s gone forever. Three out of four Americans have some form of periodontal disease and only three out of one hundred will ever get treated before it’s too late.

Why use Pearl Dentistry?

Periodontal Cleaning (or Scaling & Root Planing) requires the kind of skilled dentist you find at Pearl Dentistry. We have the technology and know-how to remove tartar above and below the gum line, as well as smooth out rough spots on the tooth root where germs gather.

Pearl Dentistry customers have the most natural looking teeth in the world. That’s because we use only porcelain crowns over root canals or to replace existing crowns. This is an extremely reliable technique for repairing the most severe of dental problems, even permanently replacing missing teeth to offer a complete smile and a functional bite. And because we’re committed to the finest materials our crowns will last thirty years.

When to use a Crown?

Crowns are an ideal solution to treat broken, cracked or lost teeth. We place crowns on back teeth with fillings that have developed hairline cracks. Crowns prevent breakage in teeth with root canal fillings and can solve appearance problems on the front teeth.

Why Use Pearl Dentistry?

It takes a skilled dentist to remove decay, shape the tooth, and fit it with a temporary crown of either plastic or metal.

Then on a subsequent visit, to fit, adjust and cement the final crown in place. Our techniques and materials will guarantee your crown will fit right and last for decades.

Pearl Dentistry recommends dental implants to replace missing teeth whenever possible. Before dental implants, dentures were the only alternative to replacing missing teeth. Dental implants are tiny titanium posts which are surgically placed into the jawbone where teeth are missing. The bone bonds with the titanium posts, which act as tooth root substitutes, and create a strong foundation for artificial teeth. Small posts or attachments are then connected to the implant, which protrude through the gums. These posts or attachments provide stable anchors for artificial replacement teeth.

Why use Pearl Dentistry?

Pearl Dentistry dentists undergo special training to perform both aspects of dental implant surgery. We know what the best candidates for successful dental implants look like. We know how to prepare and place the implants in the mouth. We carefully monitor your progress until the implants have bonded to the jawbone insuring you of greater success. Only then do we begin to install your new teeth. Finally, Pearl Dentistry implants are so life-like, they look, feel and act like natural teeth.

Root Canal Therapy

For all the talk about root canals, here are the facts. They can save your natural teeth and prevent the need of dental implants or bridges. And they’re not near as painful as urban legend has it. In fact, a root canal at Pearl Dentistry where we combine sedation therapy with nitrous oxide and massage chairs will make you wonder what all the talk was about.

Why would you need a Root Canal?

At the center of your tooth is the pulp chamber. Infection or inflammation of the pulp can be caused by trauma to the tooth, deep decay, cracks and chips, or other dental procedures. You’ll know something is wrong either because you can see a visible injury or swelling of the gums near the tooth, or you’ll experience moderate to severe pain. If the tooth pain lasts for more then 10 seconds or wakes you up at night, or pain happens spontaneously you will most likely need a root canal.

Why use Pearl Dentistry?

The doctors at Pearl Dentistry use a non-surgical treatment to eliminate the diseased pulp. This therapy usually involves local anesthesia and may be completed in one or more visits depending on the treatment required. We can relax you with nitrous oxide or relaxation therapy. Success for this type of treatment occurs in about 90% of cases. You will be able to drive home after your treatment, and you probably will be comfortable returning to your normal routine.

Pearl Dentistry is a mercury free zone. Mercury fillings are poisonous, they can leak causing discoloring on adjacent teeth and they can actually weaken the tooth structure. Instead we use composite resin fillings for fillings, crowns, and veneers. Not only are they stronger, they match the existing tooth structure. Often patients will ask us to replace all their silver fillings.

Why use Pearl Dentistry

  • Our skilled dentists, using the highest quality materials and newest equipment can have you in and out of the chair quickly.
  • Your filling will be bonded to the teeth creating a tight, superior fit to the natural tooth.
  • Our fillings are durable, tissue compatible, and kind to the opposing teeth.
  • Our technique allows us to preserve the greatest amount of natural tooth structure.
  • Color and shading can be matched to the existing tooth.
